1 lakh scheme for minorities in Telangana 2023

The Telangana Government has decided to provide ₹ 1 lakh financial assistance with 100% subsidy to minorities. The scheme has introduced to work for poverty alleviation cutting across caste and religious lines.

Telangana Minority Finance Corporation will start second phase process soon. Govt provide Rs 1 lakh to each of the 14,300 applicants of its 100 percent subsidy loan scheme for minorities.

The government has set aside ₹153 crores for the second phase of the scheme and has instructed district collectors and district minority welfare officers to make sure that the scheme is implemented properly.

The first phase of the subsidy scheme for minorities was a success, so the government is launching a second phase. In the first phase, the government gave ₹100 crores to 10,000 minority beneficiaries, giving each of them a check for ₹1 lakh on August 19. The government is giving subsidies to about 120 eligible people from minority communities in each assembly constituency.

Eligibility Criteria for Telangana Minority 1 Lakh Scheme

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Telangana Minority 1 Lakh Scheme:

  • Must be a member of a minority community (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, and Parsis)
  • Must be a resident of Telangana
  • Must be aged between 21 and 55 years on June, 2nd 2023.
  • Aadhaar Card and Ration Card / Food Security Card of the applicant as address proof (Mandatory) should be enclosed.
  • Preference shall be given to Women applicants to cover a minimum of 33% of the total target for the District.
  • 5% reservation for persons with bench mark Disabilities with Priority to Women with bench mark Disabilities, shall be allocated out of the total target for the District/Constituency. (as per G.O.Ms.No.1, Deptt. for Women, Children, Disabled & Senior Citizen, dated 16-01-2018).
  • The DMWO shall ensure that the applicant should not have got any other benefit under Economic Support Scheme of the TSMFC.
  • Must have an annual income of less than ₹1.5 lakh in rural areas and ₹2 lakh in urban areas.

Application Process for Telangana Minority 1 Lakh Scheme 2023

The online application process yet to announce by Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC). Though the eligible applicant can apply to fillup form and submit their nearest office.

Important points to note

  • Applications submitted in December 2022 and January 2023 will be reviewed in 2023-24.
  • Applicants who submitted applications in December 2022 and January 2023 can visit the Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation office at Hajj House, Nampally, with a copy of their application to check the status of their application.

Guidelines of 1 lakh scheme for minorities in Telangana 2023

Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby order to implement the Financial Assistance Scheme to the eligible Minorities candidates, as one time grant of 100% subsidy upto an extent of Rs.1.00 Lakh (Rupees One Lakh Only) per beneficiary in the Telangana State with the following Guidelines:-

  • Applications that were received in the Financial year 2022-23 through OBMMS Portal, but which are pending be considered in this financial year 2023-24 for sanction of 100% Direct Subsidy of Rs.1.00 Lakh for each eligible beneficiary, to be executed through Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation.
  • Fresh applications should be called for from Christian Applicants for selection of Christian Candidates for extending financial assistance of Rs.1.00 Lakh each 100% Direct Subsidy to be executed from the Telangana State Christian Minorities Finance Corporation.
  • The grant will be given to only one Member from a family.
  • The individual age limit fixed for applicants is from 21 years to 55 years as on 2nd June, 2023.
  • The annual income of applicant shall not exceed Rs.1.50 lakhs in Rural areas and Rs.2.00 lakhs in Urban areas.
  • The selection process shall be completed by the District Level Monitoring Committee/District Level Screening cum selection committee headed by District Collector. The District Collector shall take the approval of District Incharge Minister for the District as a whole for this Scheme.
  • Selection list (Phase wise) has to be displayed in TSMFC website.
  • The subsidy will be released as a onetime grant
